Business Connections Are Good For Business
Being in business, whether for yourself or for a company, mandates that in order to be successful, you must market your products or services. Period. How are people going to buy what you have if they don’t know what you have? Why would they want to plop down large amounts of cash to a business if they don’t feel comfortable that you really know what you’re doing?
Establishing solid business connections happens every day in the social marketing segment. People blog, respond to blogs, exchange business contacts, interact in forums and establish themselves as authorities in their fields by writing timely, informative articles and sharing their real, hands-on experience within the business world. Consumers and decision-makers alike tune in to podcasts, blogs and news forums to get the latest opinions and surveys of economic impacts on the business sector. People want to know more about what works as opposed to paid advertisings. When they read this information on blogs and newscasts, it shows potential customers that you have the capability and experience to effectively handle their accounts.
Using social platforms can have a significant impact on businesses. For me, I didn’t think I could really make any business connections from social platforms like MySpace or FaceBook. I have pre-teens and my friends with pre-teens that spend more time on those sites than I do, so I figured I was too “old” to really get any use from it. But boy, was I wrong. If properly used, these platforms and others like LinkedIn and Plaxo can be enormously helpful in marketing and growing a corporate or a small business. Social marketing is good for helping people make good, solid decisions that have significant economic impact.
